Damage claims and product complaints must be submitted within 30 days of receiving your order. To submit a claim, click the Credit Request button on your account page. Once we've reviewed your request we will either approve you credit or a member of the Gare team will contact you for more information.

Cracks • Report
Cracks are fractures in the bisque that can range from fine hairline cracks to more noticeable breaks. Even small cracks can weaken the piece and may expand or separate during firing, making the item unsuitable for use.
Embedded Particles • Report
Embedded particles are foreign materials trapped in the bisque that cannot be removed by sanding. During firing, these particles can expand or burn away, causing chips, pits, or "blowouts" that permanently damage the piece.
Dings • Report
Dings, dents, and holes are surface defects that can affect the appearance and finish of the bisque. While some can be sanded out, deeper imperfections cannot be repaired and are considered damaged pieces. If after sanding you can still see the imperfection, we will move forward with your credit.
Warped Bisque • Report
Warping can occur during the manufacturing process, causing a piece to become misshapen or sit unevenly. Because warping cannot be corrected, please submit a damage request with photos for credit.
Handles • No Need To Report
Small gaps between the handle and the body of the bisque are a normal manufacturing variation. These gaps are filled during the glazing process and do not affect the appearance or durability of the finished piece. However, if you lightly tug the handle and it comes off we will approve the credit.
Irregularities • No Need To Report
Small rough spots can be sanded down with sandpaper - remember this is a handmade item. After manufacturing the bisque is “cleaned up”. The more time invested in the clean up the more expensive the pottery becomes. We find it more economical to save on the process and hand the savings on to you.
